The sunrise is made even more majestic when the warmth of morning’s glory is magnified by the golden colors of fall. The gnomes have awakened and are rustling inside, ready to start the preparations for the coming winter. The whole forest is crisp with the chill air and the sharp crackle of fallen leaves. At this moment, everything is still and calm, a time of peaceful melancholy, warmed by the morning sun and memories of summer. This painting by Mike, is a personal reflection of his favorite time of the year. A time to grab his boots, a wool jacket and a walking stick. A time for serene, quiet contemplation of the days past and the simple beauty of the outdoors. Originally this was painted in oils, on a cradled wooden panel, archival-prepared to last centuries. The size is 6.5” wide by 12” tall.
